What's up myBBs.. I need some help with settings.

I have a Sony amplifier with the following connected to it:
2 Front speakers
1 Centre Speaker
2 Surround Speakers
2 Passive Subwoofer
When i play on stereo, the subs and the fronts go quite loud, but the centre and surrounds are very near to off, very soft.
When I play on the other modes (Dolby prologic, PureSound, etc..) the centre kicks up clearly, but the bookshelves and subs quiet down considerably.

How can i set that the centre, fronts and subs all play stereo? Not too concerned about the surrounds.

Stereo is only for the front left and rights and the sub, you can use prologic to create a synthetic 5.1 but stereo as far as I normal is only 2 channel.

Out of interest which model do you have? I have an older STR-DG600 in storage replaced it with a Denon AVR1400H

Major difference from the SONY

I'll have to check later the model, i can't remember now..
I would not mind not using Stereo, even if it means the fronts are soft/off.. but when i run in any other mode with centre speaker, the subs are barely playing. And i have set the sub level to +5.

Just tie all the speaker wires together and put them into one channel

Hahahhaa weirdly i considered it.. using just the fronts and subs outs to power alles!!
I'll do that this weekend, if i don't find a tidier solution

Haha you can actually however you cant just wire them all in parallel as you'd end up with a very high impedance so you'd have no volume, you can if you wire them in series & parallel properly end up with the correct impedance (8 ohm probably) and everything would work beautifully.

Yeah, i'll do some maths to get to 6-8ohms, but they will all play, some way or another.

Has anyone heard these speakers?
I saw a set for sale, and seriously considering them.. they'll be paired with 2 Sony 10" subs...
