Sony Cybershot DSC-H50?

Hi guys,

Saw this nice 9 megapixel 15 optical zoom camera in the shop the other day at a very reasonable price, does anyone have this camera and/or can make suggestions on if its crap or not?

I don't have the budget for the alpha ones with the interchangable lenses, and want to take photography up as a hobby, any comments/reviews?

If you're serious about wanting to take up photography as a hobby why not save up a little(?) more and go the dSLR route?

What's the price?
I have a Sony DSC S600 camera that's taken 14256 photos.
Pretty happy with the photo quality etc, and it's a low end model.

Yep, and I might be able to get it for even cheaper than that cause I know one of the suppliers. Do you think I should buy it?

I think I'm the only Sony fan here, and I pretty much just use the auto settings when I take pics, so not an expert at all.

I'd buy that one if I could could hold of it at a reliable shop here.

I really like the auto setting a lot, I usually don't have time to fiddle.
