Sony Ericsson K610 availability question for MTN_Data_Dude

Hi MTN_Data_Dude,

Not sure if this has been covered before (search came up blank?).

Anyhow, could you please tell me the expected arrival date of the Sony Ericsson K610?

It appears to have been launched/announced shortly after the W810, but I still can't find it on the MTN price lists.

Thanking you

Regards
Frans

Hi

I've already settled on the W810i. I was gonna wait for the K610 or the K800 but my wife just could not wait any longer. She is gatvol of the idiotic Samsung that she has. She should be getting the phone sometime today. :)

The W850 also looks like it should be an awesome phone.

W810i vs. K610

Hi,

Yes. I also like the W810i. My wife got one about a month ago. And I too will settle for the w810i if the k610 is not going to realise anytime soon.

There are two things I like about the K610 vs the W810, though:
1. The K610 weighs only 89g, vs 99g for the W810
2. The K610 has 3G, whereas the W810 only has EDGE.

Which is why I don't understand why the k610 is not already available. It is one of the smallest, lightest 3G phones available anywhere....

Anyhow, let's hope for the k610 (or then the k618, but that would probably take monts).

Yeah. I also liked the K610 because its one of the smallest 3G phones around. I played with the idea of getting the Nokia 6233 - 3G but no video calling and it looks like crap.

But in the end the w810i just seemed much better for my wife. No 3G but a good camera, lots of memory, good walkman functionality, a radio and bluetooth headset on the standard Mycall 100 rate :D

Well then I think I would rather hold out for the K610 then, seeing that it's 3G and all.............
