about 8 months ago i took my young daughter to the mtn store in clearwater mall in jhb. I let her choose for herself a phone. I paid cash for the phone coz i was going to just let her use it on my old contract number.
now a couple buttons are a bit dodge on the phone. i take it back to mtn store where i purchased it.... and they said... nope sorry this phone wasnt bought here... its not on the system. i say ... geez of course it was, but i bought it cash, not on contract. they say no they dont see it on the system so they cant take it and send it for repairs, regardless of warranty or not.
so here i have a broken phone that mtn refuse to take back. can i take this thing direct to sony ericsson? surely if they look at the imei number they can see its age? or even if its not under warranty then i can pay for a repair?
