Sony Ericsson Vivaz

Hi,

Can anyone help me. I purchased a Sony Ericsson Vivaz on a vodacom contract.
I need to use my mtn sim and access the internet, however much i try, i cannot get the setting sent to my phone. I just don't receive them on my phone. When i went to a mtn store, they told me that the phone came with vodacom settings and i cannot get the mtn settings sent to my phone.
Is this true? Can i change the settings? If so, how...

try a software upgrade on your phone, directly from SE.

I hope Voda is not in your firmware.

MTN settings do work on Vodafone sets, I had both on my previous phone, but the phone constantly wants to use the Vodafone settings & will not let u change the default settings to MTN. its a pain, I eventually flashed my Satio to the generic South African firmware.....google it.

Did u try going : MTN Menu ->MTN Services -> Customer Care -> Handset Settings ?

If you go to Sony Ericssons website you can set up your phone from there for any provider in the world, they will send you the settings you need.
