ok it looks like the garmin URL is only the update if you already have the maps... where can I get the original software/maps, cape union mart? does it come on a memory stick or what? cd?

I also looked at the ndrive option, which will cost me R700. They dont have a trial for South Africa yet.... so this seems like a risky option!

any idea how much the garmin one costs?

I'm pretty sure that you can't use garmin. It's only for Windows Mobile, Symbian etc. There is no java app.
