Sony launches SSD range

SATA3 SSDs are so last year - why would anyone get into that market? I mean, those drives are a commodity, not something you'd care whether *it's a Sony* or a Sandisk, Intel, Kingston or Samsung, or even a Fong Kong.

What? Flash storage is the one thing you don't want fong Kong.
 
Now the prices should continue going down. Too bad for us and our rubbish rands

I don't know... Maybe... But they're all using the same chips and the same controller, so you're worried about the PCB and case? These things aren't exactly bleeding edge tech anymore. 90% of the time it's going into a cheap piece of **** PC. Nobody building something decent now is going to use SATA3 - even some of better laptops have more appropriate ports.
