It retails R12,864 new, so you're saving almost R2000. If the demo model looks good and the warranty is intact - sure - but personally for a saving of R2K I'd go with a new model.
Ask them to drop the price to R8,000.

Better build quality but less features for the same price.

I work with people who own Vaios, I also own an Acer Travelmate (backup) - my current baby is a Panasonic - but
the build quality of SONY is better than Acer. However, Acer offers better value.

Sony Viao is really nice, but it comes at a premium that I am not prepared to pay.
