Sony Xperia S - Release?

Does anyone have any idea of when the new Xperia S will be released and land in SA,

The phone's specs look amazingly good, really interested to know when it will have possible arrival to our shores,
otherwise I'll have to go for the Moto RAZR or Nexus for upgrade.

I'm also eagarly anticipating this phone release, but my choice is between the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Xperia S. I don't know if this helps but this link shows that the Xperia S has started shipping so I'm assuming it'll be here next month.

Think that I'm going to pick up a Xperia S in the UK, looks pretty good !

IMO its in a different class to the S2, not that there is anything wrong with the S2.

I would defiantly take the Xperia S over the S2.
That Xperia S probably has the sharpest screen around at the moment with the 342ppi, and performance should go up once the ICS update rolls out (Not that performance is a problem with Gingerbread as per the benchmarks)
Can't wait for it to arrive in SA, will have to wait till whenever that is before I upgrade, been waiting since November already

It seems to be way better than the iPhone 4s, in all respects. Screen and camera are much better!

Even the old Xperia Arc had the same camera as the iPhone 4s.

Edit: Have pressed the button, am picking it up in London next week.

Am typing this on my Xperia S, picked it up in London three days ago.

Very nice, no complaints - but still setting everything up.

No complaints, except that the battery goes quite quickly if you make it work hard - but I have an uncapped internet sim and am using it as a full-time hotspot and phone so it is working quite hard.

Still need to get some Sony tags to test that system out.
