Sony Xperia S

YESSSSSSSSSS MIUI for Xperia S http://www.theandroidsoul.com/offic...s-is-now-available-for-download-and-flashing/

Can not wait!!!! (Need at least a month to make sure Hardware is OK)
Stock is Ok but I really really miss my MIUI DND and Data firewall

Edit: Crap missed the Arc part, dam you Sony.

The phone is still VERY new in terms of Android phones, give it some time and I'm sure MIUI will come to it. And this phone seems quite popular as well so that will only make the developing for it speed up.

Man Stock Android sucks donkey balls.

I am sorry I just realized again how bad an OS it really is. Got my Xperia S now for just over 2 weeks and I am sad to say till MIUI comes out for it this phone its going into storage. I just can not get use to the crappy UI and lack of response. Also don't even get me started on the stock apps. No wonder so many people dont like Android.

Edit: forgot to mention the dam phone showing me the middle finger on Linux when I plug it into USB. This was the final straw for me now.

No, its just when I want to do something that is suppose to be standard behavior and have done since my Nokia 6150 days, I dont like an OS to give me the middle finger, that's exactly why I left iOS world in the 1st place.

Don't know why Sony had to go f with the USB modules.

Good for you, still doesnt help with the UI complains and stock software so its not so super either.

Maybe your standards are too high gogga. :p What is it exactly that you dont like?

Yeah 3 years on iOS and 2 years on MIUI kind of does this.

I hate the way general Android looks like its a bunch of crap tossed into a bucket and served cold. Every dam app has its own look not to even mention the menus, one moment your greeted with ICS look the next its gingerbread and then all Sony apps has its own look. At least MIUI sorts this out with its themes forcing a global UI, and even better its one that you can theme to your taste.

Then there is also the stock apps that seriously lack functionality like Graphic Equalizers and limiting music per folder basis. Its simple things I know but its things that MIUI spoiled me with and I can not live without it, in fact I think using my old Desire HD with MIUI is a way better Android experience than whatever Sony is calling this crap customization.

Just a pity that patents will probably stand in the way if Google try to adopt any of MIUI's enhancements seeing that Apple and Nokia will have a field day in court.

Elimentals....leave Android alone!!

Go and take some pictures with your 12MP monster. :)

I'm using the official generic Samsung ICS ROM for my Galaxy S2, with ala Touchwiz, and can't be happier. Love my phone!

Maybe I'm done playing and want to use it as my dependable daily phone. Does that mean I'm getting boring? :wtf:

Dude I can not help that stock Android sucks. Also I am not mostly complaining about functionality my biggest gripe is form.

At least with the open nature of Android my problems will be sorted out, I just have to bite it till CM9 and then MIUI rolls out for my device.

Doesn't seem to be any love for the Xperia P ;-). Though I am loving it especially on ICS

Ditto. Very nice phone, ics works well. Has better display (higher res, better dpi) than iPhone 5. And most features are better than iPhone 5.

But this thread is old, Xperia S is now being replaced with Xperia T with much improved specs.

Also not as plasticky as other Android phones, which always seems to be an Apple fanboys comments :-)
