Thats very hard to swallow imo, my phone on the stock ROM drains roughly 5-10% overnight. And i've never had the phone last 3 days with minimal usage.

A few weeks ago I got an update, now there is another one.
update 14.2.A.0.290 is version 4.3
now there is an update number 14.2.A.1.136,
Will look at doing it later, can't let phone be claimed by updates when I need work calls to come through.

I have found the battery lasts worse with stamina mode turned on, than if it is off. Ironic actually.
Hmm very well then, tomorrow I'll turn off stamina mode and see if it makes a positive difference.

Will be a huge upgrade for you.
It is a carrier phone so the vodacom logo is present, have a look at the LG G2 aswell.

Hmm...
I wonder why. I am with MTN and there is no logo present when starting or running the phone. There are not even MTN software apps of any kind on the phone.
I did get my phone with in the first few days of release, not sure if there phones after that has the supplier software.

Non of my MTN phones have ever had any branded software. One of the reason they're better than Vodacom.
How are the LG roms though? Is it heavily themed?
Not as bad as Samsung's imo, but still fairly heavy compared to vanilla.

Hi there, iv got the magnetic dock for my z1 but can't seem to find a cover that will allow me to use it on the phone whilst in the dock charging.i don't want to have to continuously remove the cover. Has anyone found a cover which fits into the dock?

So iv just received my update to KitKat on my Samsung Note 3 and its busy updating as I type , I was wondering does anyone know when we can expect KitKat for the Sony Z1 here in SA?
I have posted numerous times over the last couple of weeks over at Sony SA facebook page and they just do not reply at all and im not the only one that has been posting asking about the update as well . Honestly a little bit fed up with them , they really need to jack up their service ,Samsung is leaps ahead when it comes to Customer service in my experiences , even Huawei have been better (with my wife having a Huawei P6) .

Well after weeks of asking , I finally got a reply from Sony SA re the KitKat update for the Z1 , though it does not really give a timeframe as such , here is the answer I received :
"Hi ,thanks for the message . Android 4.4 KitKat is currently being tested and evaluated by the operators (Mobile Networks) and as soon as they conclude their evaluation and approve the update it will be released to consumers "
So as I said , not really much help , but at least we know its with the operators ,so I guess thats one step closer . I hope Vodacom do not take forever with it as Iv already received my update on my Samsung Note 3 today .
