Sony z3 Compact front screen cracked/shatter

Hi peeps,

As the thread states,my z3 compact fell and in bottom left corner shattered and has a crack from the bottom left toward the top to the left of the phone.

Now as it is a contract phone,I don't have insurance on it and MTN tells me that it will be "out of warranty" claim and it's gonna cost me R3000 to fix.

Phone is 4 months old.

Can anyone give advice as to which route I can take before I sell it out of hand?

My Z3 Compact's screen is also cracked. Just sitting there collecting dust. Was 1 week old when I dropped it.
