South African companies joining the AI arms race

While many South Africans are familiar with internationally developed artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as ChatGPT, several noteworthy services developed locally are also on the market.

These range from a multilingual natural language processor to a security platform built on WhatsApp and a machine learning algorithm.
