South African mobile data prices compared

Links to each of the offerings on the respective cellular provider's site?

Telkom claims to offer me 1GB/month of data but their local roaming data is only 100Mb per month and I seem to be roaming >1/2 the time

These seem to be for data only packages, cause I pay R99 for 1gb on TM.

It took me a while to track it down but TMs R59 for 1GB seems to be their weekend "onceoff" deal.

LOL @ Vodacom. For R999 I get 200GB on Cell C.

The article is poorly written. Starts talking about Freeme and data for smartphones, then shows a table of sim-only, data-only contracts. Unless you have a dual sim phone, threse packages are for using in a dongle/mifi/router only as they are not voice enabled.

The majority of the TM prices shown are available as PAYG add-on's in one form or another

Yes, you are correct. The other 3 networks are most definitely data-sim-only pricing on a contract

I still can't find some of the TM ones. I suspect the 5gb package might be a typo since they do offer a 3gb for the same price. Links to, or even just indications of, which packages these are would have been helpful.
