Thanks for this feedback anyway, now at least we know what to debate.

Point is, they could work on a sliding scale, not an all-or-near-nothing extreme which penalises even first-time or even very slight "offenders".

In locales where businesses treat customers decently. I am not sure that is the United States though, probably the EU where stuff like this is enforced with legislation. But not sure...

Some of our corporates are better than others, how we often make our choices these days. For instance, will never use Vodacom again as they go so far as actually taking your money now under certain circumstances - two situations I know of. (Unrelated examples.)

Many, many overseas providers are pure uncapped.

In Asia, for example if you look at Taiwan, you buy your uncapped and chose the 5G speed you want - 500Mbps, 1Gb or 1.5Gbps.

Where I live we have 90% of households covered by 5G & most EU countries are pure uncapped. I have no idea about SA, but I think you far off. I don't know if it's about Gov interference or a lack of competence. Current major 6G research programmes are taking place in Japan, the US, South Korea, Germany and the wider European Union (EU). It's always BS, South African businesses are the biggest makers of excuses.
They have this idea that if you give the masses a wide berth they'll abuse it. The reality is that many people out there do not have the means to use a lot of bandwidth. An awful lot of people I know think the internet is their mobile phone and it's been proven on this very forum- how many people still cling to DSTV 'cause they're too stupid to set up and use alternatives because that requires a tiny bit of tech-savvy.

Yes. That's how it works.
The same blueprint the other dinosaurs like MultiChoice are working from.

It might be that the masses have schitt for brains but it's not always going to be like that.. the masses are slowly becoming aware that they have a little more choice. And then these corporations will bring out their Frikkie Jonkers and blame everything from hardened criminals to Russia except themselves.
