The ANC is a real bummer.

Not one of my friends who left SA miss it one bit, this country is a shithole of note.
 
Good luck. The first world is growing tired of African immigrants. Unless you can win them World Cups and Olympic medals.

Go to Kiwiland. We have made our names absolute shyte over there thanks to our bitching and whining nature. I had to lie a few times and say I was a Brit as many places simply don't want Saffas as customers since we bring the mood down moaning about SA.

I wonder how this sentiment is vs expats who emigrated 10 or 15 years ago as compared to the batch from the last five or so years.
 
I don't believe SA is as bad as the media and people make it out to be. A lot of publications which paint the "S'Africans are moving to countries X, Y, Z at rate A%" often don't talk about the not-so-nice part about emigrating (tricky getting a job, language and culture adjustments, financial related issues, etc.), and some of the problems these countries have (no such thing as a problem free country). I have spoken to some people who left and they did touch on some their not-so-nice issues, which were related to emigration. If I were to leave SA, I think my reason would be more about seeing what is on the other side of the world, not so much that SA has problems. Many other nations, including the "developed" nations, have their fair share of problems.

So true! It is a bit annoying to see this. Even on the social media's, you see some expats complain about SA related things yet they exited the country years ago :laugh:.

South Africans in Australia and New Zealand are cringe worthy.

Those are two countries I'll never go to, the absolute worst of SA.
