RedwoodJS started out about 5 years ago, founded and funded by Tom Preston-Werner, founder of GitHub and TOML among others.
RedwoodSDK is the new direction RedwoodJS as a company is taking, and I am exited to be part of the core team. Although RedwoodJS Inc is an American corporation, the core team is South African, our CEO and co-founder of RedoodJS and RedwoodSDK is here in South Africa. To be more specific, our core team is in the Western Cape. We have another core team member in the USA.
We often expect big tech to come from the US, and sure it does, but being part of this as a South African, and as a team of South African's I feel proud to be making something that could give Next.js etc a run for their money.
Sure we are still in preview mode, and we are really in the early days, but what are building is truly exciting, and I would love for you to check it out!
