It appears that the United States is not the only country having a hard time accepting evolution. According to a report in Nature, a South Korean creationist campaign has achieved victory in its efforts to see specific examples of evolution removed from high school text books. Their breakthrough is part of a larger campaign to see evolutionary theory removed as much as possible from educational materials.

A step backwards for a country that is technologically advanced. Christians are only 25% of the country, but they are a very vocal minority, of which I'd say the majority are YEC fundamentalists.

This was never a problem, as the world grows more secular, the beleaguered will be more aggressive. As bad as this backwardness is, its just the final push of the dwindling imo.

it's pathetic and one of the reasons that not religion, but pastors and preachers should be punished harder by the statements they make

Fortunately evolution isn't a religious matter. It's science.

What the church does has nothing to do with me or anyone besides its congregation. By asserting religious beliefs in public schools, my rights as a non-Christian is infringed upon, atheist or not and that is the issue.
 
Next stop, the US of A. Actually this might present a bit of a conundrum to the conservative, religious Rick Santorum-voting types. Will they be willing to admit they're going the same thing as the "terrorist" North Koreans?

Which will win out, their massive hatred of the enemies of Amuhrrka and freedom or their massive hatred of nature not fitting in with their ancient myths?

i believe you meant to say if atheists don't want creation taught in schools, we don't want evolution taught in church.

They think that the creation theory is a viable alternative to evolution.
I wonder if they will also be teaching the stork theory as an alternative to biological reproduction.

Plus there are the other benefits of highly stressed children, suicide and an unhappy adulthood. Nothing beats robbing your children of their childhood.

Is there really even any point trying to educate creationists? Seems like a waste of tax money. Aren't there heroin addicts that could rather use it to buy drugs?
 
Great news.

Its because its becoming such a Christianized country. Some of the biggest churches in the world are there.

Slight difference there. One is backed up by science, while the other isn't.

Religion has been around since the earliest recordings of man in one form or another. It will be around for a while longer I suspect.

Ps. I do not agree with this.
