SP2 promises faster MS Office

as users of Office 2007 SP2 will now be able to read, edit and save documents in a range of formats, including ODF (Open Document Format), PDF and XPS.

So you can edit pdf files with SP2 installed? Anyone have any experience with this?
 
I think that should be save as PDF, only, I would doubt you could edit PDF's with it.
 
would be great if one could edit pdf's...

will install later and play around with it a bit and see whats possible.
 
As far as editing PDF's that would depend on how the pdf was created :p

2003 ftw, I hate the "Office Ribbon"...

Because the feature has been available in OO for ages, perhaps :rolleyes:
 
I've been using the SP2 since win7 RC came out, and I could not notice any speed improvements...actually outlook seems to take longer to start up. But maybe that's the RC's fault - Beta build 7000 was really really fast...RC seems more sluggish, and I've had a couple of BSOD's
