This is seriously getting ridiculous.
I've received almost 10 spam SMS's this month from Cell C (most of them being the exact same SMS), and now today I've received two phone calls that just play music with no one on the other end from 084145. While I was in the US recently I also got a few.
I didn't want to block the numbers in case I missed an important message, but this is just excessive.

Mr. Cell C rep, why can't you spam other people instead of people who are already giving you money?
Is there a way to block all correspondence? I've tried asking call center people when they phone with crappy contracts, but it never helps.

The rep removed me of their spam messages about a year ago but they slowly returned, I added a spam phrase for cellc so all my sms's from cellc now go to my spam folder. Its bad when you think of your cell provider as a spammer.

got about 30 spams from them. also had them removed and now I'm getting more than ever. got 3 this morning in a few minutes.

Too bad we cant all afford a billboard , am sure this could have been sorted if we go that route

You should not have given me your number  - will post a link to your Gumtree ad a little later....

So I am not the only critter being spammed by Cell C. Blows my mind with all the carp the repetitively spew forth. Think I need to block their numbers too.

Hangouts -> Settings -> SMS -> Blocked numbers

@Cell_C: What is the proper process for other customers to do the same? Just did a straw-poll in the office and every one of the CellC users here receives spam from 14700 - i.e. "RE-introducing RealDeal promo II! Win R3,000, R6,000 & R10,000 daily. Grand prize: Up to R1 million! Join for free-SMS 'DEAL' to 14700. Cell C"

Housemate on Cell C gets lots of spam even though she's on the DMASA opt out list.

Hi MagicDude4Eva

The proper process is to SMS the word "STOP" to 14700 or or contact Customer Care or send DM to this forum.

I did SMS "STOP" to 14700 a while back and it worked, but now I'm being spammed again since 11 November. :(
