Spam with missed call notification

I'm on IOS so TrueCaller is quite limited. Besides, I'm sure there must be a way to turn off these extra ads that Cell C tag on.

Not really any different on Android except there the app itself is the Ad irritation.
But I think he meant to filter out the SMS's completely because as far as I know Truecaller can't actually filter the text on any platform.
Why on earth you need an SMS to tell you about a missed call I wouldn't know. I don't get them on FNB which is also CellC.
The SMS number doesn't match up to the missed call number either - the phone shows 031xxx but the SMS has it for 087yyy

If the VPN does the work then surely it would be applicable for any platform that can pass a VPN?

It's from your cellular provider, same as please call me who also have ads (well, on VC at least).
It's not something you can stop except if you can get them to stop the missed call notifications.

It's on device only.
Is there a way to turn these off? Ie not get any message at all about missed calls as my phone already shows it.

Maybe not but you can solve the problem by simply not making use of the notification service ! :twisted:
