Spammers regain lost ground

Blacklisting via Spamhaus did work once... but now these buggers are finding ways and means to push their filth past these blacklists.

Time to bite the bullet and install mailfilter I reckon...

I've been using Mailwasher for yonks - works for me

How does mail washer work? I mean, does it require days/weeks of learning your friends, etc.? My big problem with personal antispam filters is I find I end up looking through their junkmail to see if there are any false positives. So from a time point of view, it would be easier just to delete the annoying email. Also for me, I want my spam blocked before it reaches my network (as there are thousands of emails coming in per day). Currently we use a service through Vox Datapro (which costs about R2500 per month), but is very effective for the hundreds of users on my network... until this year. I have seen an increase in spam from stuff previously slipping through maybe once every 2 weeks, to now almost daily crap coming in. Any suggestions for a better ISP based system? I guess I need to start deploying another level of antispam as well.
