Spamming can be criminal in SA

These stupid laws don't make sense if they can't be enforced. Whoever came with it was smoking something. What the point of having an opt-out register? So that they can keep a private database of all people's contacts? Whoever wants to get any product updates (marketing) should out-in, and let the rest of us stay the F&&^* out, free and anonymous, in peace:wtf:
 
Yes and why should I spend money to get fkrs to stop harassing me. It should be illegal to send out or contact anyone unless 18 and older and written consent is in the senders possession and thats that.
 
This is unlikely to change anything. Opting out only works 50% of the time.
 
Direct link to website post? Seems odd that they'd be talking about spam under the ECT Act now (old act with sanctions for spam not ever really being enforceable and not dealing with bulk sending) when it would make more sense to talk about it under POPI which will change it from opt-out to opt-in (potentially).
