Day Dreaming

Me: Enterprise Shuttle1. One to beam up ... this planet is too primitive. No telecommunications worth using.

Enterprise Shuttle Autopilot: Would you like to try another continent or prepare for rendevous with the mothership?

Me: Hmm, good point. Let's not write off the whole planet just yet. Let's try Hong Kong. I've picked up reports they're at least heading in the right direction in terms of telecoms.

Enterprise Shuttle1 Autopilot: Affirmative. Co-ordinates set for Chinese Coast.

:D :D :D

Dave Bowman: Hello, HAL do you read me, HAL?
HAL: Affirmative, Dave, I read you.
Dave Bowman: Open the pod bay doors, HAL.
HAL: I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.
Dave Bowman: What's the problem?
HAL: I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do.
Dave Bowman: What are you talking about, HAL?
HAL: This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.
Dave Bowman: I don't know what you're talking about, HAL?
HAL: I know you and Frank were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen.
Dave Bowman: Where the hell'd you get that idea, HAL?
HAL: Dave, although you took thorough precautions in the pod against my hearing you, I could see your lips move.

Saw my error when I posted. Already corrected. My apologies for any confusion, busy with work related documents for Japanese trade import. Mental mixup on my part :p
No worries - the enterprise would have know what you meant :)
