Never heard of a speaker nipple. The only engineering expression is a grease nipple

A speaker spike will lessen the transfer of energy to the other surface. A suspended floor is an example

My speakers are on spikes on Rhodesian parquet flooring and no damage anywhere

Basically what I use, this works well. Make sure to level everything so that there is no wobble (cue the inevitable jokes).
