Speaker Upgrade

Be Brave. Go for broke and get the Logitech Z5500's. I Also have the X-fi fatality. Got it the day rectron stocked it hehe :D

If you have such a cool card you might as well buy some decent ass speakers even if you use headphones most the time. There will be that one day where you just wanna blow your brains out :D
I had the creatives thx750 things and the amp blew., they sound nice and all but the quality of the logitechs are just that much better. This is all my opinion of course :)

Don't even have to go broke... its about the same price as high-end major household theatre systems such as LG, sony etc. It money well spent in the long run. I just dont like the big logitech console but thats just minor.

I honestly am not against creative as they do make very good products, i just feel they made a wrong move with using unstable amps....

Thanks for all the useful info, but the Logitech Z-5500? Come on guys, I said R1 000 (which means R1 000 to maybe R2 000 but not R3 000!) :D I live in a university residence and people are already complaining about my little 100W R.M.S. speakers.

Our pleasure. Yeah you did specify price but somehow, somewhere things started going off at a tangent. People complaining in a university res? very odd since its mostly young people who tend to be oblivious to noise unless its crazy hours you play it or during study week. but ne ways, we gave advice and hope you make a good choice ;)
