Very happy with my wisp connection as opposed to EDGE/GPRS.

My average download speed has gone from 60kbps (EDGE) to 480kbps.

What a major improvement; given that there is no 3G/HSDPA coverage where I live. Also getting 4GB as opposed to 2GB for R400 pm.

Anyone want to buy an option HSDPA/UMTS/EDGE datacard?

:)

What is the access network? WiFi?

Is ~480Kb/s the typical throughput? (Is there a 'typical' throughput?)

"Is there a typical throughput", you ask - is that a trick question? :D

I'm on a 512Kbps download package, affected by all the various component contention ratios, 5.8gHZ wireless, telkom backhaul.. and all the other mysterious bits that connect me to www

(The usual best endeavours for service)

No idea what the subscription rates are, time will tell..

But so far it's amazing.

His a good and fair BOSS.
He keeps the boys inline.
Sometimes we just get very angry at what people say then we say things without thinking.
