I'm downloading the Red Hat 9 iso's from ftp.saix.net on a capped account @ 54kB/sec. First time I get such a good speed on local servers after reaching my cap. &lt;of sit ek die pot mis?&gt;

Ja nee, jy sit die pot mis. Local speed is not affected after the cap.
 
maybe the servers u where downloading from only allow u to download at 5 8 kbs how do u know that they want to download a file at 50kbs?

what a great day for speed testing i got 480Kbps on http://speedcheck2.optonline.net/speedcheck/speedcheck.html well it doesent show u how long its gunna take to download a 1mb file tho o well [:D]

dont tell me im the only 1 that gets more than 400 !?!?!? [:0][?]
i just did a a speed test
Download time: 8.391 seconds
Size of file: 500 KiloBytes
Estimated line speed: 486.2 (kilobits/second)
Estimated line speed: 59.6 (kiloBytes/second)
and if i work it out i can download 1Mb file in 16.7 seconds[:D]

Btw thats what i get with telkoms speed test
