I just got a download speed of 320 kbps??? no ways , it then levelled out at 95 kbps

Crazy hey?

Ok, so it's slow then, I thought perhaps you meant it was really fast - speed wobbling at 320kBytes/s...:D
[yes I know it's impossible, but I keep hearing about some iBursters that get 150kBytes/s...]

sorry i mean kbytes - when i download a program from the web - (thats kbytes is it not ? )

Could be either, was it slow [320kbits/s] or speed of light [320kBytes/s]?

are u using the firefox download manager? ive heard there is a problem with it reporting wrong speeds at times.

it was flying - ya KB/sec now its sitting on 90 KB/sec - it went so fast

i am downloading a 600KB file in under a second - thats not possible is it ?

Ok here is my story....I`m connected to Northcliff tower right...so during a day time the connection is like so slow getting about 5-10% from the 1024kbps...(64-120kbps) but after like 02 in the morning i get about 700kbps....
I dont know whats the problem but there is no way i can do anything with iburst connection during day time even weekends...so i have to do all my stuff during a night...
i think the problem with northcliff tower is that is very overloaded....but WBS doesnt do anything about it...:(

nope using ie 6 it took seconds to download a 5mg file

firefox is better because its open sourced, its operating system independant, its an alternative to ie, it's tied in with google, it respects users, its safer (yes vulnerabilities are foudn now its 25% of the market share but it gets patched asap and is easy to update), it has a million plugins and not retarded toolbar ones either, real ones that can do all sort of things, it puts control in your hands, it renders pages faster, it supports multithreading (which means its faster on broadband), has a cooler looking icon, has a scripting engine, isn't microsoft, and um its better
