Speeding driver kills woman cop

I was pulled over at a road block the other day on Beyers Naude drive. But the crazy thing is the cop just stopped me dead in the middle of the road and wouldn't show me where to pull over to the side... and there were a whole bunch of cars behind me. So when he came over to the Window, I said... "where do you want me to pull over?"

So he gets all aggro with me and (clearly on a power trip) says "when I put up my hand, your job is to stop where you are!"

I said to him "it's not safe for me to be in the middle of the road"

But he just kept repeating "you job is to stop".

Eventually when he has reveled in his power trip for a few seconds, he motions me over to the side... checks my license and registration and lets me go.

I wonder how long before he also causes an accident?

I have had a policeman walk in front of my car while doing 90km/h on Hans Strijdom. Just before I came to a halt he just moved. Still wondering wtf happened

Just got word from the station now.
The police officer passed away at about 2am this morning :(

My problem is the police and metro police (spit) often not wearing high visibility items especially during poor lighting conditions (but actually at any time) when doing traffic related duties...

Yeah. Either way I hope the drunk driver gets what's coming to him.
Two counts of culpable homicide, one count of fleeing the scene of an accident, driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving... hope he sits for a long time.

Got some word now on what happened in the incident.

1. Driver stopped in the middle of the road (just off the corner of Hans Strijdom/ Lynnwood). The person (the driver) was confirmed to have been drunk.
2. Police saw the vehicle, stopped on the middel-mannetjie and went to enquire as to ^^ wtf.
3. Drunk driver came up speeding and hit the policewoman and the driver.

cops should sit outside pubs and clubs and ask these ****heads how they plan on getting home

Awesome idea.

They do this in Hatfield quite a lot though. They've got cops there every night of the week. Unfortunately we have a very low vehicle:station ratio.

The funeral for the cop will be on Wednesday morning. RIP.
