Hi

I have 2 ISP accounts (both ADSL) one with Telkom and one with M-Web. When I try and access www.supaswift.com (which is a South African site) via Telkom the response is so slow that the some of the frames and images time out. When I switch to M-Web everything runs fine.

Any ideas why this is?

Kind regards

Alan

i experienced the other way..

oneday i was transferring from some local ftp site and the result was follow by two isp.

Telkom account: 58kb/s
Ataris: 19-28kb/s

BTW this only happened someday and usually there was no speed difference.
So just check if you getting the difference all the time or not.

Hi Also had this problem. I had to check on a client's e-mail accounts at his office, he uses Mweb's ADSL. When I tried to work on his system I could hardly open any websites due to the slow connection. I went back to my office, ten minutes later and worked on my Telkom ADSL at 78Kb/s. Our offices are 5 Km appart, so it must use more or less the same network. What I cannot understand is: If ADSL is a Telkom product, why would anybody want to pay more for a third party service if you can get it for a better price at the original provider?
