Am I missing something? Didnt Neotel state that you'd receive on average between 300 -> 700kbps? Arent all three results more then 700kbps ? I dont think you should post those speed results then complain about the speed, it just doesnt make sense.
I understand that Neotel has been pretty inconsistant over previous weeks, but since some time last week, my service has improved. Latency so ZA servers are 200 -> 300 ms. Yesterday on my speed tests I got 1400kbps.
Hopefully it continues.

The term AVERAGE is most certainly being used to loosely these day's.
You see, in mathematics, an average, or central tendency of a data set refers to a measure of the "middle" or "expected" value of the data set. There are many different descriptive statistics that can be chosen as a measurement of the central tendency of the data items.
An average is a single value that is meant to typify a list of values. If all the numbers in the list are the same, then this number should be used. If the numbers are not all the same, an easy way to get a representative value from a list is to randomly pick any number from the list. However, the word 'average' is usually reserved for more sophisticated methods that are generally found to be more useful.
So, this means that should reach speeds of between 300 and 700 kbps at least 50% of the time!
The problem is that should you take your speed tests daily for a month and then calculate the avarage, it's a whole different story.
I am on a Neoflex 10Gb and should get an average of between 400 and 900kbps.
BUT....I have done 3 Speed tests per day, every day for a month..and guess what? My average was 206kbps for the month!!
This is way below the advertised speeds, and this is what everybody is complaining about. Yes, there are the odd lucky days where you would get around 2Mbps but they are rare and consistency we will not even mention..
