yeah... might be...

But I stand by my principles.... i don't go close to HELLKOM.

You might be one of the 0.0005% of the population in South Africa that might be able to afford Technically and Financially a connection like that as the rest of the telkom lines cannot support it.

I've seen telkom lines running at 512kbps because they cannot fix them and areas where you cannot simply order adsl because the exchange is full.

And now with raining season in Joburg, I just hope my ADSL line doesn't get flooded. It can take 2 weeks for telkom to repair.

And the internet monopoly that they been trying to keep for them in the past.

No thank you. I rather support any other ISP.

Now check out my speed that we currently have in Mandini.

Telkom refuses to admit that there is a problem. They just say it is congestion and that they have no set plans to attend to the problem.

This is so frustrating. To just complete the speed test took me an hour. And this is at my place of work! How must a business function with this?

For those who doubt Telkom.

I guess this thread shows the nice, as well as not so nice, side of Telkom :D
The two extremes.

74ms ping to an international server is nice, although which server exactly?

Ping is crap if it is local, but to be expected on LTE. If ping is international - then its fake.
Why does the op alwalys post one liners and new threads on speedtests from Telkom....

Does not have to be fake just because that is a lower than normal ping.

We do not know where that server is located.

Well testing within Africa I would not consider as international. 70ms odd is impossible from sa to europe/asia/usa due to the distance of the undersea cables.
