Tips for preparing fresh spinach? Got quite a few bunches of fresh spinach from someone. I do not like it so much, but am willing to give it a try.

On the odd occasion that I do prepare it, I normally buy the frozen spinach and cream and just boil it in the bag.

Any ideas?

Thanks :)

Fresh Spinach FTW!!!

Stick it in a pot with a little butter/olive oil and some garlic, and fry for a couple minutes just until it goes smaller, but is still chewy.....

MMM!

Make sure you rinse them very very very very very good (or else they taste like soil)

Boil them with potatoes and some tomatoes

edit:

Forgot to add. Once done, mash it then it's Brilliant !

how about adding a nice cheese sauce?
There's a Macedonian dish that uses this. I'll try and find it.

Spinach is an odd veg. Do you know that you should shred it with your fingers and not chop it. Apparently the flavour changes and it reacts with your teeth (iron).

Wash each leaf carefully, and then rice the whole lot 3 times before you cook it.
Nothing ruins spinach like crunchy spinach.

Spinach in big pot with garlic, chili's and a little bit of butter or oil just so it doesn't stick. Cook till you think it's done. Squeeze lemon juice over and eat.

Next time at Primi Piati ask for spinach as a side order. Fantastic.

Tomatoes, spinach, some onion and some bacon. Let it all simmer in a pot. Man it's delicious with some mash!
