Splinter Cell Chaos Theory Help

Well I bought an original Splinter Cell Chaos Theory & it did work, but now I have discovered this huge scratch all around the dvd which makes it impossible to install and play, I have tried almost every cleaning technique known to man & still nothing, as I actually have the original making it legal to make a backup copy. Does anyone know how I can get a copied version to actually work?

Any advice appreciated.

Splinter Cell 3 contains the Starforce copy-protection system. It installs a type of rootkit on your computer to control operations to the CD/DVD drive.

I don't think there exists a working "crack" for this game, trust me i looked high and low for it and just went and bought the game.

Nevermind the starforce system, it uses like 2-3 different cdkeys [installation key, online key and single player key? ].

There is "attempts" to get past it, with these mini-image stuff, but i think you
STILL need the original DVD AND an image of it [i think you only need the DVD when you start the game] . check at
http://www.megagames.com under games fixes. But if your DVD is scratched you probably can't make an backup image either?
