I have a Netgear router at home with four computers that connect to a 5GB saix account through it. I need a way to limit the amount of data that each machine can pull per day as some people always use the cap up well before the month is over. I don't have a machine to use as a server so a piece of software to install on each machine is the preferential solution. The best would be to set a daily quota on each machine after which the internet is cut till the next day.

Please can someone guide me as to the right software to use, as internet searches have not yielded results.

Thanks.

I've tried netlimiter but it only can restrict the bandwidth on each machine and not cut the connection when a certain limit has been reached.

Try this get a 3x1gig 1x2gig Prepaid or m2m accounts set it on each pc to pppoe connect.

The prepaid is for witch ever user uses less than 1gig a month the rest is for the people you know is going to use up there caps in a month.

Sorry can't help with software wise since I have not found anything that can do this sort of thing.

Thanks for the suggestion that is what I am currently doing, however it is not the best as the router features cannot be used in bridge mode. I was wanting to simplify it by having only one account and letting everyone connect through the router.
