Spore has landed...

Hi all.

Sorry to BURST into this form but i am also really enjoing this game.
have played all the stages of evolution and been through the center of the galaxy (no spoilers here). My wife and I are playing off of one disk (1install left) but we seed her universe with copy and paste instead of downloads.

Am using the religion path so my special ability is a instant portal home (like a one way TP).

Game does crash often though especialy on my wifes pc.

I was too in the creature stage. when you get to tribal it just gets better and better, promise!

I did not get a crash once and I've been logging a lot of hours.. think I'm, sitting at around 53+ creations. Might the copy-pasting on your wife's PC be the reason it crash on her PC? Maybe your not transfering every bit of needed data? With games there's so many things that can cause problems, first thing you can do is to make sure your drivers are all updated, especially graphics drivers. Also, check when the crash occurs and do a search for it, maybe someone else got similar problems and found a solution.
 
I need some help please...
Im in space at the moment, but evertime i try and leave my home planet i get called back because its being attacked by either one of my enemies or pirates. How do i protect or build enough defenses to leave it on its own for a while? Am i missing something?
Ive got a couple trade routes, 1 ally and 1 extra ship in my fleet which i obtained off the ally. But now i need to find rare commodities but cant leave home for longer than a few minutes..

ne help will help :)
 
pirates only steak a few spices - you don't have to worry TOO much about them.

I also had a lot of battles going on in the begining.
either this will happen:
1) they will give up after a stalemate, and there will be peace.
2) you grease their palms with cash
3) you obliterate them (i went this route after getting tired of fighting, now i own their systems!!)

i was a viciouse player - carnivore, evil and a non peacefull race - but now i'm making allies wherever i can cause in space stage you need 'em!

Tip: get your spice dealers/traders in order and remember where they are (as-in know who sells cheap, and who BUYS cheap, more importantly.) this will speed up your money flow - ive discovered pink spice sells at 44,000 instead of 7000 for red spice - now i'm building up my pink spice planets.

Now that you mention it I do remember a warning message when we first installed on her PC , "Your graphics drivers are out of date" , but was to lazy to sort it out at the time . OOOPS . shot. :)
