Spotify

The free version has ads, you are limited to certain number of skips per an hour on mobile and playlists are only played on shuffle.

The desktop Browser version of free doesn't have these limitations and I use Adblock which blocks 90% of adverts. For listening to something while getting work done it's a good free solution.

I prefer using YT music on mobile

Yeah actually works better apart from a few edge cases. Now that I think about the only reason I started using Spotify again was after I got my 2021in Review playlist.

I only listened to Spotify for 3000 minutes in total this entire year.

You can get a 3 months free trial on the single account.
One month trial on the family option. Six people R100/month afterwards.

I'm currently hiding out in Youtube Music (family option on both Youtube and Spotify). The yearly wrapped and podcasts together on almost 2 pages of Spotify irritate me. The audio in Spotify sounds better than in YTM, but I'll change back sometime next year.

20-odd bucks a month for premium YT family is the clincher for me.

Spotify isn’t that bad it’s one of the best music services I’ve had and still uses even having Apple Music …

Using Spotify at work playing via desktop even on the android box it’s worth it if you ask me …

Tried YT family plan but since all my immediate family is on a G Suite domain they can't access it.

All devices I use can take multiple Google accounts. ;)

That's nice.

If google wants my money they can make things simple for me (and everyone else using g suite).

I'm not really bothered. I've got enough subscriptions as it is and I'd rather spend the money on quality content.

what is the difference between Free Spotify and Premium Spotify?
Pay for it. You won't be sorry. My iPod has not been charged in months now (should actually give both of ours to the kids).

Spotify is the best for me. Used Apple Music at first but switched in 2018 because Spotify has an app on the tv and I can just play off there. Loved it ever since.

I use YouTube music only for when I download mixes. Makes more sense saving an audio version than a full video from YouTube.

It is nice, yes.

I have my Gsuite accounts for business and a dedicated account for all my media subscriptions and another for random signups.
