Strong squad.
Chilliboy has played well for the Bulls, he has not missed a jumper in his last 2 appearances that I can remember, maybe not as high a work rate but solid none the less.

Rose, well, less said the better. I see he is also in the emerging Bok side

The Earl Rose thing has got me well and truly pissed off. His selection is an insult to any decent rugby player. I'm not disappointed with the rest of the team though...

+1.

The Golden Lions have benched him for the British Lions game on Wednesday and have gone with their first choice fullback, Louis Luddick. Does PdV know something that the rest of us don't?

I think Ricky has more than proved himself, and it is apparent that PdV wants to keep the momentum going of a winning unit, with a few new additions of players that are really inform.
Apart from Rose, I reckon he has a good mix, and at the end of the day the starting 15 will not have Rose in it.
I reckon Frans Steyn will end up having to do fullback duty, the poor oke is never allowed to settle into one position.

You are all racist... Why do you always find problems with the non-white players... :p

I'm sorry to say that Janaurie is useless, he can't even make the Stormers side anymore, also Rose peaked last season, this season was a horrible one...

Stefan Terblanche deserved a spot as the specialist full back and obviously Du Preez is the scrumhalf, but he will probably be replaced in the 60th minute by Ricky... Because... Everyone knows why... The only thing Ricky has ever done that I can remember is score the try against the All Blacks to get us that away win... Other than that... He really isnt a good player... He runs to far with the ball before passing, putting his backline under pressure, his kicking game isn't all that great, his defence is ok and his running game is ok, and because it's okay, his passing game (which he is selected for) suffers...

Some crap choices there. A couple of us gooing beers back at the pub can pick a better team.

Would love to see Terblance at fullback for starters

Dunno wtf F. Steyn is still doing there.

Nah, the litey (Frans) can't play flyhalf basically at all but he's a wicked outside center or fullback.

Yeah i dont mind Chilliboy at all, i think he is there to get some experiance and his an average to good replacement, yes i know there is probably someone better, but du Plessis was not on standard this season.

BUT.........WTF is Rose doing there, even if you want to play the Quota card, Zane Kirchner is far superior and i dont even rate him as a quota.

I'm wondering how Rose feels about his inclusion, is he even proud, he had a shocking season. LOL what a joker:sick:

Ag man, with so much talent in SA right now I doubt we'd ever be happy with any squad he picks. I would love to see the Emerging Boks (plus the players who don't make the match 22) team play the official Bok team. Would be far better warm up than the silly game against Namibia.

Chilliboy has always been there, even Jake White kept him around. He may not be the best (or 2nd best) in his position in the country right now but I think they're grooming him for future captaincy. John Smit went through a similar period when he started out with the Boks and he honestly hasn't really had a bad game coming off the bench for the Bulls.

Ok, a little more sense (?) - Frans Steyn at fullback...

If he is all healed up :( He has not performed well enough IMO this S14 to keep either ludik, terblanche or Kirshiner out of the nr 15 jersey.

Zane Kirchner and Louis Luddick as fullbacks in the Emerging Boks side AS WELL AS Earl Rose???? Why is Rose in both squads?

He is just THAT good. (And lets be honest we do want to give the B&I lions a fair chance:p)

Who is going to be full back?

J Fourie, JP Pietersen, Frans steyn, Earl rose.

Victor matfield and John Smit have both been working on their kicking games the last season or two so maybe snorre will give them a go.

The Earl Rose thing has got me well and truly pissed off. His selection is an insult to any decent rugby player. I'm not disappointed with the rest of the team though...

Not even Januarie? He benches for the stormers for crying out loud! :p

Chilliboy has always been there, even Jake White kept him around. He may not be the best (or 2nd best) in his position in the country right now but I think they're grooming him for future captaincy. Yeah chilliboy has been tapped to be the first black captain for the boks.

But Imo at the moment he is a "player of colour" inclusion :( We couldhave done worse though :D

Funny how the players in doubt are non-white.

Maybe people are starting to accept AA for what it is ...BS.
