Funny how the players in doubt are non-white.

Maybe people are starting to accept AA for what it is ...BS.

Look at least they are not utterly useless. In the past we picked 7 players of colour and 1 or two was good and deserved their spot, now we have colour players who really earned their spots and one or two who is the on AA basis. Thus I believe we are making progress :)

Chilliboy is fine. Januarie has proven himself in the past and Earl "The Pearl" Rose can make a fair to descent luggage manager if he is trained right.

No one else dissapointed Akona Ndungane didn't make it? I feel he has a slight edge on his brother.

Ricky has more than proved himself  Uhm, maybe inform us where he has proven himself then?

Hmm 34 Bok test caps already, 24 / 10 win/loss record.
U19 and U21 representation, including the RWC winning side in 2002 (u21)
Nominated for SA rugby player of the year in 2005, try of the year 2008 (the first time the Boks won in Dunedin)

Maybe, instead of mouthing off, tell us why he should not be in the side, he is not my personal choice, but he has the pedigree for sure.
Infact, rather say nothing.

Well I am sure Stefan terblanche has a better record on wing than Rickey on scrummie, but you dont see him being there even though he is on form...

If a player is not on form why should he be picked? As for your stats Joost did better and you don't see him getting a call :p

Chiiliboy has played superbly for the Bulls whenever he has come on, and he has come through the ranks good and proper. He may not be of starting 15 quality now when compared to his peers, but he is an asset to the side.

Rose is nowhere near good enough, so it is hard to understand how he made both the emerging and main squads.

Wow, a tad touchy are we  Gary Teichman had a lot of caps, let's bring him back ...... about as ridiculous as you saying that Januarie has what he has ... it's about CURRENT form and he has jacksh1t. There are other scrummies that have CURRENT form.

Take a fscking chill pill next time right ;)

Stephan was not part of the World cup winning setup and he is getting on in years, and the incumbent players have not given the coach enough reason to ditch them.
Its all about continuity.

Joost is to busy with the ladies of the night, allegedly :D

Please talk sense or say rather say nothing.

it's about CURRENT form

I think that is where Snorre missed the pot. Sure Chilliboy and January has the potential to be great or great again but the Lions only come around once every 10-12 years and we need to play the in form players. The guys that performed week in and week out.
Does he want to win the series or does he want to build for the Tri-Nations?

Kockott, Vermaak, Kirchner, Tereblanche, Brussow. All of them deserved a spot on current form. Not January, Rose:sick:, Chilliboy.

Teichman has been retired from the professional game for years, do you enjoy talking crap and making rubbish analogies, or is it just genetic in your family?

Almost everyone in the country will have differing opinions on current form from one player to the next, from those thaty have been injured and not playing to those that have played, but maybe hit a dull patch.
Luckily for us, there is only one coach, and I am more than happy with the team selection, excepting the one indiovidual that has been discussed already.
Test experience goes a long way in matchups like these (the Lions)

He wants to win the series,,, experience counts hugely, just ask any team that has fielded minnows in big games.
If he loses it, let him have it, but right now support the team.
Personally I believe with the calibre of players we have we can all be quitely confident we will win, and win comfortably.

Morne Steyn(Good choice), Rose and Chilliboy has no experience. Terblanche has loads of experience. Doesn't make sense.

Lets leave Rose out of it, I reckon we are all in agreement there.
Stephan last played for the Boks in 03, I reckon the abscence or a recognised fullback like Kirchner in the side leaves it all open to speculation.
He has certainly played a massive role for the Sharks of late and has been rock solid. If he was a bit younger maybe. A lions series would've been a great 'icing' on his career.
I think there are other fullbacks who can also feel a bit hard done by based on their performance this Super 14.
As I said above, Chilliboy gets my vote, and at the end of the day the starting 15 wont have to many surprises. He is certainly a player for the future, and his current form has been very good.
When he replaced Kuhn for the Bulls his throws were spoton, if I recall correctly, the Bulls lost 3 of their own throws against the Sharks on Kuhns ball, despite having the most experienced locks in the line, Chilliboy never missed a beat.

He wants to build a "representitve" side for the next world cup.
So he gets to keep his job for at least 4 years, no matter what happens.

But do it in the Tri-Nations, not the Lions tour.

LOL :D
A wonderful indivual try at the 'house of pain' when we were up against it is forever cemented in my memory.

Yes i am sure that Terblanche will age dramatically in the next month

Please don't make stupid statements. If he was able to be the on form fullback in the S14 he will do against the B&I lions.

As per your own saying above you should rather just say nothing.

Yes thats why kuhn is starting for the bulls:rolleyes: Cause Chilliboy is better and thus we don't want to win to far so we play kuhn for most of the game...... How can they pick players that don't start for their provinces?! (It would be understandable if it was utility players like danie russouw)

LOL :D

Are you giving old rickey a bit of a slap and tickle?

Sure sounds like it... Many players in many sports have made great individual efforts and then not been included in national teams.... once is not enough.

If I gave you a bomb diffusion device that once defused an atom bomb and failed the last 20 times or i give you a defussion device that has worked 9/10 times on 1/2 a ton of C4, which are you going to choose?
