Springboks vs Argentina.

Quite a change of tune from your comments on the cricket thread. Surely it is a bit premature to write off the team mid way through the first half?

And it was not just said that they were not playing well. In fact the word inept was used!

Remarks like that seemed very premature. That is what I was saying and lucky for me 4 minutes later it seems I may have been right...

All I said was cr@ppy start. Did not write them off.

Do you think they played well in that first 25 minutes?

And rugby is not at all like cricket in that regard. Completely different games.

WonderBob, don't even waste your time getting into an argument over this. :)

Nice try by Spies! That's more like it. :D

it must also be difficult for players to move in between playing ELV and then old rules.

Wow, the game has really opened up now. :) Or rather, Argentina's defense has. :D

Turning into a boring game now. Like Argentina have given up.
But hey, I'm watching the game on SABC2.
Such a lekka surprise to find the game being broadcast, I've really missed a lot of rugby cos I don't have DSTV.
Go Pierre Spies!

You cannot come out and start scoring tries from the word go! You need to set the foundation! I wish people would realise this and not start criticising after 20 minutes.

Did you watch the game??

They did not come out and set a foundation, they tried to throw the ball around from the word go, and failed. A better option, imho, would have been to start of playing a tight game, and get control first.

NO, BOB! I was commenting on what I had telepathically picked up was happening in the game!

And the game is still on so the present tense of "are you watching the game" would be better suited.

And as an aside stop taking all comments as if they are directed at you. My original post was made before your cr@ppy start post. You seemed to choose to make it apply to your comments.

OK I will humour you. Do you not think that the start they chose perhaps tired the Argentinians, who are having to play at altitude, and resulted in them tiring and the gaps opening? Do you mind for a minute considering the Pumas strength? Is it not the forwards? So you wanted us to come out and play their game. Take them on at their strength? Bottom line is the way we played for the first 20 set the foundation, whether you like it or not, for the current score line.
