They state that he grabbed her child. They didn't state why he grabbed her child. If you think that is insignificant to the matter at hand, then this argument is over. It is completely significant because it would confirm that he was simply defending his kid. He stated quite clearly that her kid was hitting his on the head, and spur don't seem to deny that. So taking that into account consider this:

He sees his kid being hit by her kid. He then confronts the lady who tells him to f**k off. Meaning that she doesn't care that her child (or the child in her care) was hitting kid child. Under those circumstances, he reacted in the way that I think many people here might identify with.

Is it OK to grab another persons kid though... I'm a Dad of a 3 year old girl and I almost had a minor flip out over a little boy hitting my girl. The boy ran and I was more interested in looking after her than sorting out the little boy but in a way I'm glad I wasn't able to hit him because then it becomes more about my reaction then his behavior.

The calm logical thing to do was go take it up with his parents, don't touch someone else kid unless its 100% necessary. This chop is always going to be the bad guy now because he went straight to dishing out punishment on the kid.
I know it must be really hard not to because like I said... I have been there. You will never come out on top when you are the guy hitting the 10 year old.
 
Jeez, if it's created such a furore Spur should release the footage.

Ok, first she lied. Now she didn't, but only regrets it because of the backlash. I'm not sure what the relevance of your last statement is. I'm also black, and I have said many times she could have handled it better. Maybe you must be a bit more objective and criticize equally.

The restraint I believe he showed was in not resorting to racist insults.

And if he was thinking of the well being of his child first, he would not have behaved like a wild animal. But he is probably used to treating woman like crap and didn't think that it might bite him in the behind this time.
 
The lady's godchild was 3 years old right? How old was the brutes kid?

What will that achieve? The kids have no right being dragged into this, it's none of our business actually and it's only a big deal because it has become a racial issue -anything further is just to fuel the racial tension when the actually issue was kids being kids and two adults being idiots

It had also been stated that his kid was bullying her kid. He should have taken it up with management instead of hurting someone else's kid. He seems to have a habit of taken on those smaller than himself.
 
So has Spur actually released the footage of her child hitting his child? There is CCTV in all the play areas?

Or are they keeping that one quiet to make sure it looks purely one-sided and racist?

I'm not excusing his actions they're wrong, but if someone makes an accusation we should see both sides of the story. To me it seems Spur chose the "diplomatic" stance by banning him given the current sensitive nature of race in our country.

Its ok for the one child to have hit the other one then?

Why do you assume that he would resort to racial insults? Or needs restraint not to? Just because he appears to be an ******* doesn't necessarily make him a racist too.

It says a major lot about you that you think a white male not racially insulting a black woman, smaller than himself, is restraint. In fact, had there not been so many people he would probably have assaulted her.

I think his kid is 5. I have a 3 year old son, and a 5 year old daughter, and I can assure you 3 year old can also dish it out when the need arises.

someone said "monkey", they want that person to lose the income, to lose the house, to lose everything.
someone said "k***", they want to kill that person, to kill that person's kids, to kill that person's whole family.

Regardless of what either kid did, that was kids being kids. No need to drag innocent kids into this. This is about the behavior of two adults that should have known better.
