Spur Incident

I am not saying either side was correct, the situation could have been handled better. But I bet there are some here whom had the race card thrown at them with the intent of getting a reaction.

This is when you keep quite and walk away, the incident in question was when a man parked half in a marked motorcycle and half on disabled parking. Wanting to use the motorcycle parking with my motorcycle, I asked him to please move his car as he is clearly illegally parked.
The first thing he said was "you are doing this because you are a racist"

So this is what I saw. Two kids got physical with each other, this happens with kids. If you don't want to risk this happening then you shouldn't let your kids play with other kids in a public place. This applies to both parents.

The parents got into an argument and the guy made threats of physical violence both verbally and by way of body language. She then went off in a totally unacceptable way by swearing in public and being provocative in her words and body language.

What I found the worst of all here though is a man his size who looked as if though he literally wanted to beat the crap out of her. I mean there was no contest here in terms of physical strength. Why did he get that violent?

They were both wrong but the guy was totally out of control here. The threats of physical violence against a women was just plain bullying. He took it there, he took it to things getting way way out of hand.

To the poster who said that he "kept his cool" ... you sir are an imbecile.

I will be skipping 702 tomorrow. Eusebius will give me a headache with his fancy terms.

If I was a betting man, I would go for the following terms:

White privilege
White monopoly capital
Patriarchy
Colonial privilege
Superiority complex etc.

Same **** different day.

R100 on White privilege being said during his show.

:crylaugh::crylaugh::crylaugh:

That woman is a disgrace.

That said, I fully believe the guy is in the wrong. He told her to do something about her child being disobedient she did not give a fck, end of story.

He should at that point have turned around and walked out.

so key point is this (not on the camera so it is he-said-she-said type of thing)

"Then he grabbed my daughter like a chicken and told his daughter to hit her! I stood up and told him that he will never threaten my child. Who the hell did he think he is?"

I'm sure that caused the woman to lose her ****.

Normal reaction would be for the guy to be like "ma'am, your kid is being a bit rough in the play area, can you have a word with him/her"

So did anybody find out whether the guy was speaking the truth about the child hitting the other child on the head??

The lady provoked the guy by calling him a bully and swearing him in front of her kids. Why isn't that taken into account? Why only ban the one guy when both customers should be banned?

He should have just approached the manager and made it their probpem

Don't they have cctv for this kind of stuff? Then you can see what was happening with the kids and whether the guy grabbed the daughter's hand

ok, so that is why #spur has been trending all day...

The whole fracas reminds me of the Mr Visagie, Touch me on my studio, incident.

Welcome to our national underlying racial tension reality, that comes to the fore, when placed in a confrontational situation with someone of another race. Part of our reality, consequence of our past. Acknowledge it, be aware of it and do your little part, to lessen it.

You don’t grab a chicken by its wing. I have 4 Spurs in my vicinity, each one is monitored (including the play areas).

I think she is lying. I didnt see that in the video & she was too eager to scream racism.

That guy is trash but the mother doesn't come off as innocent.

I would be more inclined to believe the mother, if she sat her behind down and didnt say "is it cos im black, is it cos im black. Hit me and see what happens"

I think they should release the cctv footage in play area, in restaurant and just block kids faces.

I fully agree with everyone here

He (would have being better if it was his wife ) could have walked over to the table and simply stated he was unhappy about how his child was treated and would like a apology from the women's child .

There was no need for either party to start screaming , "playing the race card" or become physically violent .

@Spur management I thought you guys have people watching over children while in the play area to prevent these types of incidents , what happened to them ?
