Hi , I have a gaming PC . Recently I got the iobit defragmenter. I have multiple HDDs in my PC but the windows system is running on a SSD . During the defragmentation my display was gone . I restarted the PC (restart button on the case ) and then I tried hard rebooting it , checking HDMI ports . Nothing is working . Anyone have experience with stuff like this . Any kind of help will be appreciated.

Does the machine beep when powered up? Do you see anything during the boot?

Odd, windows won't even let me defrag an SSD. Did you use windows defrag or some other software?

A defrag won't kill a PC, although we may need more than "nothing is working" to help.

Well, unusually for him, Thor187 is indeed correct.

Don't defrag an SSD. Its not needed, and you're wearing it out unnecessarily.

Ah well that explains how he managed to get it to run in the first place. Still won't wipe out a PC though...

EDIT: that does look like absolutely awful bloatware though, yuck.

Looks like bloatware, but it does the job well when it's not showing ads....that is, if you're not using a SSD. In his case, I don't get why it would wipe out the PC. Back when I first got a SSD, I defragged it, and nuked it (wipe with DBAN) several times before I saw the light. No issues yet.
