SSD not detected, help

ok do I found my old PC 60gb SSD drive in the cupboard (as far as I remember it worked fine years ago) I upgraded it as it was small.
I've now bought a SSD usb case, I plug in my other drives to this case and they all work perfectly. When I plug this one in nothing shows on file explorer? nothing shows in disk management either, or even the bios.

who amongst the masses is smart enough to solve this issue

Does it work if you plug it directly into a motherboard sata port?

you should be smart enough to solve this issue, move it from the cupboard into the trash
