SSD worth it?

So my pc boots to Win7 x64 in about 45 sec. And I don't really care about game loading times.

Is it worth buying a SSD to run my OS?

SSD is worth it for i3 and C2D as well.

If you don't care about boot times, game load times, and maybe program load times, then why do you want a SSD?

My work laptop (i7 Dell) has a dual SSD / HDD and the OS is on the SSD. The bootup is instant and performance is amazing.

My boot ups, app loading times are great with ssd. I don't mind the reduced space as I carry external hard drive with me.
Has definitely increased my productivity and don't think I can go back

That was the Vertex 2. My Vertex 3 and Vertex 4 drives are solid as a rock and run 24/7.

Unfortunately SSDs are still relatively expensive for the amount of storage you get. And I need quite a bit.
