Hi guys,
Just to let you know that there is a NEWEMS service starting up in Cape Town Helderberg (Somerset West, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Strand) area.
They are contactable on 0825148261 and since they are new, they are only really operating from 9am to 6pm but hopefully they will grow and they will expand in staff and operating hours.
I got the opportunity to do a shift with them and give lots of ideas on how to make things better and see how things work and what separates them from other private companies is that they are keen to run on any calls that come in even the non paying ones (which was a shock to me - but in a good way) but obviously, they need paying calls (medical aid etc)
Since they are new, I've spoken to their 2nd in charge and they will sort out their web site soon, the staff are using Twitter and Facebook to keep everyone up to date with all the work they are doing.
And I will be doing some shifts with them now and again.

And those who have kids at school in the areas mentioned; SSS are going to come visit and educate the kids about first aid etc - so watch this space!
