Different sport, but cricket in PE is played at the now named "Axxess DSL St Georges" ground. lol

It's the sad way that stadiums are going, sponered names bring in the big bucks.

That's not the only sponsered name in SA. Just look at 'Supersport Park' (Centurion), 'Coca Cola Park' (Ellis Park), 'Vodacom Park' (Free State Stadium), 'ABSA Stadium' (Kings Park), 'Sahara Stadium' (Kingsmead), 'OUTsurance Oval' (Springbok Park), 'Senwes Park' (Northwest Cricket Stadium) and in your back yard, 'Sahara Park' (Newlands).

Mike ashley must f***off already,he's destroyed the once mighty toon :(

Hey at least you'll win a trophy. When last did that happen :D

Bad news is he's taken the club off the market so it looks like he'll be sticking around. Liverpool supporters think G&H are bad :o

Soon (a few years time) to be our fate as well. Really depressing.

^^yip Carlsberg stadium is the current favourite

The new stadium is supposed to be called Carlsburg Anfield, if they get aproval. I also hate sponsered names, but like i said, it brings in teh money.

Just look at sports stadiums name in the USA.

Aren't Carlsberg being replaced as our main sponsor

How Chelsea fans must have spluttered with mirth into their cappuccinos this morning when they heard what Newcastle United's owner had named his club's historic old ground, St James' Park.

Newcastle's long-suffering fans awoke to the painful news that Mike Ashley had renamed their beloved stadium sportsdirect.com@StJames' Park.

But those in West London should pause before they mock their northern counterparts too cruelly.

For Chelsea's new chief executive has announced that he plans to do much the same

There goes another one :o

Mr Gourlay stressed that Chelsea need the millions such a lucrative sponsorship deal would secure if they are to compete with rivals like Manchester United and Arsenal.

ROFL :D

Correct, they are being replaced with 'Standard Chartered'

thats shirt sponsor, different deal altogether with stadium naming rights, Carlsberg is still going to remain a sponsor to us though, I see we signed a big deal with 188bet as well, 7mill coming from there.
