A quick question for the forum members. I am currently in the situation where I need a stable internet connection. I recently moved house and my current options are vodacom and mtn. Neither cell c nor 8ta/telkom have any infrastructure worth talking about in my area. Would a topup vodacom contract or mtn contract be better value for money. Did a test on prepaid with all 4 service.providers and these 2 both seems to give stable 3g speeds.

My Cell C data connection is crap from my cellphone, but quite satisfactory with the USB dongle/modem. As 8ta and Cell C have the best offers, it might be worthwile if you could test these two with a proper USB modem and possibly an outside antenna. I believe that makes a world of a difference.

Did try with normal modem. Unfortunately I cannot install an external antenna as I am renting, and they do not allow anything mounted.

Even 6dBi window mounted antenna can make difference. It will pay off in few months.
