:(They found it on my mom’s leg:(

Next week Friday she will have 6 cm removed from her leg and the nearest node to see if it has spread...

Sheez people this makes me so sad.. I just feel like crying or kicking something.
If it has spread her chances on surviving this is between 27 and 70%.
She is only 54.
I did not know where to post this and i just needed to tell someone.

I am very sorry to hear that, Mila.

For now, I hope you and she can try to remain optimitistic and wait to see what the results are - there is always hope.

So very sorry to hear Mila, if there is anything I can do pls PM me ;)

I have no idea what Malenoma is but I'll read up on it quickly ....

Jip Skin cancer. One of those that manifests anywhere else if not stopped. :(

Sorry to hear this Mila, my sister has lost part of her left ear due to melanoma and is under constant watch from her dermatologist.
(she's had several surgeries related to melanoma, but so far has managed to contain it)

We should take care under the sun, all of us, and those who have children must protect them during summer and not only their skins, but their eyes too.

I hope your mom gets some good news.
(my sis was 38 at the time of the first surgery, about 5 years ago)

That is terrible news. Just try to stay positive. Your mom is going to get through this. Tell her now is the time to unleash the family big green dragon on the thing.

Now they cut away the cancer and test her lymph nodes to see if it spread. And if it did radiation will we done to try and kill it, depends on where it decided to manifest.

These are always trying times when loved ones have to have these kinds of procedures done.

It's been detected and is now going to be treated.
Lets just remain positive and upbeat about this mkay :)

/pushes out good vibes to you, your mom and family :D

Sorry to hear that Mila. One of my friends also had that many years ago, and it did spread through his lymph nodes, it's then called Hodgkins' disease. He has managed to make a full recovery, thank goodness, but he will now never be able to have children.

When someone you love, is ill, the feeling you have is the ultimate in helplessness.

Let us know if we can do something for you Mila.

Sorry to hear that :( My sister was diagnosed with melanoma when she was 18 and has a big scar on her back for the trouble. She goes every 3 months to the dermatologist. Fortunately treatment has improved a great deal, so stay strong and keep your head up. Treatment has never been as effective as it is now.

Sorry to hear that Mila.:(

A friend of mine also had it. Luckily they removed it before it could spread
